Quick Austin Trip

We went down to Austin for a weekend to see some of my favorite people. Auntie Daphne and Uncle Drew were in town for a wedding, so we wanted to stop by and say hello. When we got into town, we headed to Kirby's house first (and Xiao-Jiu and Crystal A-Yi, of course). It was a beautiful day, so we went on a walk through their neighborhood and got to play at Kirby's park. Later, we all snuggled in for a nice evening at home.

The next day, we went to see Auntie Daphne and Uncle Drew at my Cousin James and his new baby sister (and my new cousin!) Tessa's house. It was a wonderful surprise to also find Ye-Ye and Nai-Nai there!

Giddy-up

We managed to squeeze in a Pee family picture, and the two younger Pee daddies tried to get their usual "kids on couch" shot ... it's getting harder and harder to wrangle us!

Four pairs of hands for four grandkids. Perfect!

On the way home, I had to stop and potty in the middle of NOWHERE (plus Gavin's going through this "wah, I don't want to ride in my carseat, wah!" phase), so we pulled over in a parking lot. In the olden days (like when Mommy was young), Po-Po would just hold her bum-bum out to pee-pee on the ground, but I had my handy-dandy travel potty that Mommy carries everywhere. A whole potty comes out of this little backpack, unfolds, and presto! Pee-pee in a bag that you throw away! It's been a huge luxury especially in situations just like this.

What fun we had! I don't know how we managed to not get ANY pictures of playing with games with Crystal A-Yi, running around with Auntie Daphne and Uncle Drew, or me trying out the cool touchscreen machine that cousin James has, but I guess that happens when you're having fun. There are, however, a few extra pictures in our October album. Plus, it just means we need to try and get together another time!
