Big Boo-Boo

Just a quick posting to show you my boo-boo that I got. You know how there are accidents and then there are freak accidents that you have no idea how it could have happened? Well ... so I was just standing in the kitchen and I fell backwards over the back leg of Gavin's high chair. When I fell, I landed underneath the chair. So boo-boo on my bum-bum? Nope. A cut on my eyelid. Crazy, right?

Owwie!

It was just Mommy, me, and Gavin at home, so she quickly assessed the situation (deep cut, over the eye, potential head wound, immediate bruising) and decided to take me to Acute Kids where they -- well, gave me a popsicle first, yay! -- told Mommy that because of the location, I would either need a stitch or glue. Deciding that since it was just her with the two of us munchkins, glue would work well enough.

I did a pretty good job; they put a drop of glue and gave me two tiny strips of bandaid to hold it all together. The bandaids were supposed to stay for about a week, but the first fell off that night (it got stuck in my hair) and the second one about 3 days later.

If I play it up, I'll get more sympathy

I was very brave through the whole thing, and getting to watercolor afterwards helped, too. I thought the overalls without a shirt look was a nice touch; makes me look quite the tomboy, eh?
