MY DI-DI

So I got a pretty big surprise Christmas morning that had nothing to do with Santa ... Mommy had our baby! By the time I woke up, she and Daddy were already gone to have our baby at the hospital. Just a little while later,Gavin was born, but everyone was pooped from the experience, so I had to wait ALL DAY until I could finally meet my Di-Di (little brother). When I got to the hospital, I was very excited to see everyone, especially my baby, and let everyone know that he's "MY DI-DI!!!". I put on my special Big Sister button and bracelet and was ready to say hello!

The second day Mommy and Daddy were at the hospital, I played with everyone at home because it was soooo cold outside. Daddy surprised me in the middle of the day when he came home to put the car seat in the car, and I didn't really want him to leave again. Crystal A-Yi and Xiao-Jiu did a cool trick on me to put me down for my nap, and when I woke up, it was time to go!

When we got to the hospital, we found out that Mommy and Daddy were coming home that night instead of staying the second night! While we visited, I ate most of Mommy's dinner before we went out to eat with Da-Jiu and Melissa A-Yi who just got into town. Melissa A-Yi even made me my own little baby that I can take care of while Mommy's taking care of Gavin.

After we got home from dinner, Mommy, Daddy, and my Di-Di were there to welcome us. I used everything I learned in my sibling class to make sure he was welcomed home properly including patting him softly and whispering "shhhh, shhhh" when he started to cry.
