Fireworks, Family, and Phantom Fever

All four of my grandparents came in town this weekend to celebrate the long weekend. In typical Pee-fashion, Nai-Nai and Ye-Ye got in very early on Wednesday (having woken up at 5:00 that morning), and in typical Law-fashin, Gong-Gong and Po-Po got in very late on Wednesday (having postponed to-dos until the last minute). It all worked out because it gave each set of grandparents "quality" time with me!

Po-Po valiantly trying to get me to say "Po-Po".
I'm very close.

Me and Nai-Nai

On Thursday, Mommy and Daddy both had to work, so all four grandparents watched me together. They did a splendid job, even taking me grocery shopping together. Nowadays, it really does take four people to keep me entertained all day because there's no way an ordinary human being can keep up with me! Mommy was wondering what kind of weaning she would have to do from all the spoiling. :)

My school had a parade late in the afternoon, so I went up to march even though I didn't actually go to school that day. I pretty much had my own cheering section, and they took special care to also cheer on all of my friends.

Happy (Almost) Independence Day!

Woo-hoo! Free!

Watching a bunch of toddlers is like trying to herd cats

Friday morning brought on a revisit from the phantom fever. I woke up with the fever, so we canceled our plans to attend the neighborhood parade and BBQ ... but I didn't miss the fireworks! When we first heard the first "boom!", Mommy went outside and found a firework show a little farther away. We laid a blanket out on the front lawn and by the time we got the patriotic music playing on her phone, our neighborhood's fireworks started, and they were pratically in our front yard! It was very beautiful, and I got to clap and say "wow!" a lot.

Cranky and demanding to be pulled in my wagon through the house by Mommy.
If you click on the pic, you can actually see me SAYING "Wah" under my hat.

Nai-Nai and Ye-Ye left Saturday morning since they didn't get to go to swimming lessons with me. Gong-Gong and Po-Po left us on Saturday evening, but not before leaving a special treat: dinner prepared for a week! They cooked all sorts of food and stocked the fridge so that we have one less thing to deal with during the week, and they know what kind of food Mommy likes since it's all the yummy foods she grew up with as a little girl. Thank you so much!

Would you like some seaweed?

P.S. Special thanks to Gong-Gong who, once again, did such an awesome job capturing every minute of the weekend on film. We had lots to choose from and uploaded extra pics to my July album!
