"Uh-Oh"

Does it count as your first word if all the consonants are silent? "Uh-oh" is my current phrase that I like to use quite a bit, usually in the correct context unfortunately. Sippy cup falls on the floor? Uh-oh. Hit my head on the bottom of the table? Uh-oh. Fall down while running across the room? Uh-oh. Food gets stuck in my hair? Uh-oh. Drop Mommy's keys in the trashcan? Uh-oh.

Stuffed a whole piece of bread in my mouth at once? Uh-oh.

What makes it even more comical is the exaggerated "O" I make with my lips, the widening of the eyes, and the occassional covering of the mouth or smushing of the cheeks. Drama queen? Who, me?

I'm not sure I know who she is (the "other" Juliet) but my ride is made for sharing.

Another uh-oh was our trip to the Acute Kids Care again this past Monday. I love that place, even though I'm usually there under undesirable circumstances. Monday was a doozy ... a peanut reaction! Mommy took Dr. Frank's suggestion of letting me try peanut butter, and, well, let's just say that Mommy and Daddy now have this Epi-Pen to carry around "just in case". Just in case what, let's not find out.

At Acute Kids after my shot waiting for the doctor to come back

I know what you're thinking -- Mommy still has visions of having to plunge a needle into my heart a la "Pulp Fiction" -- but it wasn't that bad. I broke out in hives all over my body and got all splotchy and itchy, but I didn't have any breathing problems or a tummy ache or anything like that. A simple shot in the leg fixed me right up. But I have a feeling it will be a long, long, LONG time before Mommy offers me PB again.

Excited about my Wonder Pets sticker
but not too happy that I don't have the use of my hands back yet.

Really, I'll all better now and back to my old self. Fiesty, opinionated, not wanting to sleep, precocious, and tons of fun!

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about the peanut butter reaction. I hope it's not a severe allergy? Poor little thing. She looks like such a good patient.

Juliet LOVES uh-oh too. Now she likes to drop things just to say it!
