Gparents, Here We Come! (H-Town)

As part of Mommy and Daddy's "10 Dates in 10 Days", the whole family headed down to Houston for a few days of quality grandparent time. A short flight down the road, and we were ready to play! Gong-Gong met us at the airport, and we got to visit his work (where Mommy and Daddy met thirteen years ago!) before heading up to North Houston.

We went to storytime at Daddy's library from when he was a little kid, did art and made paper airplanes, and had a grand time with Nai-Nai and Ye-Ye. It's amazing what fun you can have when there are bunkbeds and the house is shaped like a doughnut!

Two night later, we headed back down to Clear Lake to do our last two nights (gotta keep it fair!). At Po-Po and Gong-Gong's house, we went swimming, played with my very own beautiful doll house, and saw Crystal A-Yi dance like a princess on stage.

Too quickly, it was time to head back to Dallas. What a fun weekend, and we got lots of quality time with all of our grandparents! You can see more pics from our Houston trip and the hotel weekend that followed in our special 10 Dates in 10 Days album.

Yellow Belt

After starting karate in June, I quickly earned my three yellow stripes in order to qualify for testing up to the next level. Mommy, Daddy, and Gavin proudly watched as I earned my yellow belt by demonstrating the skills I had learned over the summer.

Those Crazy Capps!

One of Mommy's favorite people (and her only Chum) came to visit us in Dallas, and she brought Wade and Alex with her. We packed in lots of activities in just one day, starting with a waterfest at our neighborhood shops and ending with playtime and Rio. It was a blast!

Wait for it ...

I'll getcha

Let's get wet!

Workin' hard

The next morning, after making pankcakes, we visited the Frontiers of Flight museum before packing in some Mexican food. Then, sadly, it was time for them to head home.

I gotta tell ya; it's not looking good

Even though all four of us are different ages, both of the big boys were super good with me and Gavin, and we all played really well together. Even months later, I still ask when Wade and Alex are going to come back to visit us. Hopefully it will be soon!

Check out more pics from the Capps visit in our August album and what we did later that weekend!

Dance Camp and Karate Stripes

With all the fun daily activities at school during the summer, Mommy opted to send me to a two-week dance camp (two times a week) instead of doing dance class. I got to take the class with a bunch of my playgroup friends which was super fun doing little bunny foo-foo and moving like animals, and I still recognize when we're near the studio that we're getting close to dance camp!

Ready to dance

The cuties

What fun!

July was also when I got my first stripes in karate, and they are my favorite color: yellow! It was nice that I got them at my evening class (rather than my school class) because Mommy was there to watch me show-off my star block and frist creed ... and to catch me proudly showing off my strips afterwards!

Getting my stripes

I'm so proud of me!

More in the July album!
