Our family headed down to Austin so that we could attend Crystal A-Yi's graduation. Given that she's one of my favorite people in the whole world, we couldn't miss the big day!
I was very good in the car on the way down. Once we got to the hotel, I quickly made myself at home. Xiao-Jiu, Crystal A-Yi, and Kirby came to visit, so I got to give Crystal A-Yi her sign/card that I made her and the box I filled up with school supplies that she can use when she gets her classroom in the fall. That night, we got a simple dinner from the Whole Foods nearby and hung out in our "new house".
The next morning, Daddy and I went swimming after breakfast. It was BRRRR BRRRR BRRRR cold! But I didn't want to get out, so we hopped in the hot tub to warm up some. Then we got dressed to go to Crystal A-Yi's graduation on campus.
I was all prepared with my sign and noisemakers to cheer when Crystal A-Yi walked acros the stage, but then I got shy. Oh, well, I got to give her the finished card afterwards. After she went across the stage, Mommy and Daddy smartly took me out and let me run around while we waited for picture time.
After that, I was pooped, so we headed back to our new house until dinner. Mommy always wondered what kind of people take their kids to fancy schmancy places like Eddie V's ... and then she became that person. Hah! Xiao-Jiu and Crystal A-Yi took me outside to play on the lawn while we waited for our food, and then I enjoyed all the yummies they ordered me. After dinner, we headed back outside for more family pictures and a little bit more running on my part.
The next day was the day we headed back to Dallas, but first a visit to see Baby James! Although he's not really a baby anymore. I was a little bit afraid of 'Night, but I really liked seeing my cousin.
All in all, it was a great trip! If you want to see more pictures, you can find them here.

May Was...Festivals, Fairs, Birthdays, and Fun
We continued the trend of having lots of activities every weekend, but at least they were all fun!
CH Festival
There was a festival in our neighborhood where I got to try my first cotton candy (yum!) and then burned off some of that energy with friends from my playgroup. We watched some kung-fu, I chomped on some other yummy treats, and I learned about buying things with tickets.
Primrose Spring Fling
The next fair we attended was the Spring Fling at my school. I was super excited about seeing the train, though the actual ride itself was a little intimidating. I recently moved up classes, so it was good to see all my old teachers that I miss. I planted flowers with my old teacher, Ms. Lane, and played games with my other teachers -- Ms. Lewis, Ms. Bruce, Ms. Calvillo, and Ms. Mang. It really warmed Mommy's heart to see my run to my teachers so excitedly; it shows how much I love everyone there. The highlight of the fair may have been Mr. Al! At one point, I was the only person on the dance floor; hey, someone's got to go on the bear hunt with the guy.
Tunnel Park with Princess Chloe
My friend Chloe came over to play one evening, and we went to the tunnel park. Daddy says the park would be perfect if there were only one way in and out; just drop the kids in like gerbils and let us run around! Afterwards, we came back and had some princess time together. We even got to go on a wagon ride where we pretended to be asleep.
Luke Turns 2
My friend Luke turned 2, and he had a party at a nearby park. Mommy thought it was a fantastic idea and locale ... until I started chasing Sofia and disappeared. Miss Flo ended up taking Sofia home early because Sofia's a runner, and it was no fun chasing her around. Daddy showed up at the end, which was fun because we got to play together on the playground.
Kaylie Turns 3
Kaylie turned 3 this year, and she had a big party at Pump It Up, a BIIIG jump-house place. I was a little bit intimidated at first, but ater Mommy and Daddy climbed in with me, we had a blast!
Playdate at Sofia's
Enjoyed some empanadas at Sofia's. There was this really bizarre moment where some of us kids were willing to all sit on the couch quietly. Weird, huh? :) After we ate, Daddy played Story-Man to a receptive audience.
Swimming at Jacob's
Jacob's so lucky he has a pool at his house! He gets to go swimming any day he wants! Although, I do have to say, even with that big ol' pool, I liked the spa just as much ... more my size. Daddy and I practiced my floating more in the spa, and then he took me on a ride through the big pool before Auntie Diana gave us noodle-horse rides. Like the Asians we are, not only were we slathered in sunscreen (well, most of us ... Daddy got burned!), we also huddled under the handy canopy for more shade.
A big story is that, right when we got there, Mommy and Daddy got their return on every dollar they have spent at Emler. I was reaching for a toy in the pool and fell in. They were right there ready to scoop me out, but I had already turned to the wall, held on to the side, and started saying, "hey! I need help!". No panic, no worries. Like I said, every dollar was well worth it.
Just for Fun
Here are some just for fun pictures. I did a sneak sticker attack on Gavin one night (Mommy caught me in the act), and just a cute pic of me and Daddy. I've also started doing this thing were I like to stick out my tongue when you try to take pictures of me. Aaaaaaaahhhhhh!
